Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘The Girlfriend’ sets OTT release date; here’s where to stream

Rashmika Mandanna is back on the big screen with the Telugu drama ‘The Girlfriend’, directed by Rahul Ravindran. Although the film received positive reactions from theatre audiences, Rashmika’s performance stood out, earning her widespread praise.

Now, Netflix is set to bring the film to viewers’ screens on December 5, 2025. The streaming release will include Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, allowing fans across the country to catch the film.

‘The Girlfriend’ tells the story of Bhooma (Rashmika Mandanna), an MA student whose life takes a turn when she falls for Vikram (Dheekshith Shetty). What starts as a typical college romance soon delves into themes of self-discovery, love, and the challenges of setting and maintaining personal boundaries.

Dheekshith Shetty plays the male lead, with Rao Ramesh, Anu Emmanuel, and Rohini Molleti in key supporting roles. Produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilinen, the film features music by Hesham Abdul Wahab and a background score composed by Prashanth R. Vihari, adding depth to the emotional journey of the story.
