Actor James Ransone, best known for his role as Ziggy Sobotka in HBO’s acclaimed series 'The Wire', has died at the age of 46.
According to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Ransone died by suicide on Friday. Further details were not immediately available.

Ransone had a steady career across film and television, often appearing in intense, character-driven roles. His film credits include 'It: Chapter Two', 'The Black Phone', and the upcoming 'Black Phone 2'. On television, he was also seen in series such as 'Bosch' and 'Poker Face', in addition to several other projects spanning more than two decades.
