If you are a gastronome with an amazing voice and a cool vlog, what would you be doing? Oddly enough, this Bengali beauty chose to perform an ode to Shukto, the iconic Bengali vegetarian dish.
Sawan Dutta, an early member of the popular rock band Indian Ocean, is already a popular figure in the music industry. She has composed jingles for various ads, soundtracks for films and various albums as well.
She started her music vlog 'The Metronome' in April this year and topped the social media trending tags every time she did a song on Bengali cultural traits. Shukto is Dutta's second recipe song, after a viral video on Macher Jhol, the quintessential Bengali fish recipe.
With her kohl-eyes, pouting red lip and magnificent voice, Dutta sings the 'delicious song' prodding (and tricking) the viewer into making the dish. Watch the video here:
