Actor Sreenivasan is the latest to join the array of actors who are venturing into fish business. The veteran actor, who is an ardent promoter of organic products, had earlier opened a shop named Thripunithura Kandanad Udayasree organic farm centre, which sells organically produced agricultural products. The new fish shop is opened adjacent to this.
Actor Salim Kumar inaugurated the new shop which sells fresh fish that doesn’t have any chemicals added in it. Sreenivasan said that he began to think about opening a fish shop when the regular customers at the organic farm outlet asked him to sell fresh fish as well. Live fish too would be sold here. Sea fish and fresh water fishes are available at the shop.
The actor said that though Kerala is known as the land of pearl spot, the delicious fish is now imported mostly from Hyderabad. Fishes would be sourced directly from the local fishermen at Kandanad and nearby areas. Fresh fish is sold at reasonable prices as there aren’t any middlemen.
