½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin
5 shallots
2 green chillies
4 garlic cloves
1 small piece ginger
1 big tomatoes (diced)
Coriander leaves
Coconut oil
1 small piece asafoetida
Tamarind water
2 sprigs curry leaves
Mustard seeds as required
Fenugreek seeds as required

Preparation
Crush the shallots, ginger, garlic and green chillies
Boil the crushed ingredients, turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, cumin, tomato and coriander leaves in lentil water and tamarind water
You could add more water if required
Heat coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds
Sauté curry leaves and asafoetida
Add this tempering into the rasam
