Appam and puri sold for Rs 2 at this Ustad Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram

Ahammed Kabeer who owns the Ustad Hotel near Beemapally in Thiruvananthapuram believes that there is no bigger service than giving tasty food for the hungry. The menu card at his hotel surely vouches for this. A set of two puris cost just Rs 2 while one could enjoy two appams for Rs 2. A tea costs Rs 5 while the curry that accompanies these dishes is free.

Kabeer opens his eatery at 2 am every day. Even though his dishes are extremely affordable, Kabeer doesn’t compromise on the quality or the taste. He thinks that no one should suffer due to hunger. It’s been nine years since Kabeer has opened Ustad Hotel. The story of Kabeer, fondly called Kabeerikka, became viral when food vlogger Mukesh M Nair visited this quaint eatery and posted a video.

Kabeer stacks up appams and puris on each tabel in his hotel from where customers can take what they want. All the dishes at this hotel are sold for minimal rates.
