Perfectly cooked rice tastes amazing with curries and stir fries. However, most people complaint that rice often gets under or overcooked. Here is a trick to cook rice perfectly without wasting too much fuel.

This method could be used to cook any type of rice. Wash the rice nicely and put it in a pot. Fill three-fourth part of the pot with water. Cook until the water boils. Cover the lid and cook for five minutes. Now, turn off the flame and keep the pot covered for 45 minutes.

The rice would be perfectly cooked by now. After 45 minutes, turn on the gas and boil the rice again. Once it boils, turn off the flame and strain the rice.
