Entries are now open for Golden Clove 2026, organised by Manorama Online, an initiative that celebrates and showcases Kerala’s finest restaurants before discerning food lovers.
In last year’s Golden Clove Awards, the Paragon Restaurant in Kozhikode, celebrated globally for its exceptional biryani, took the top honour. In addition, five restaurants from across the state earned the coveted Golden Clove Five-Star Rating.

Let’s get to know the five zones
Kerala has been divided into five zones for the competition. Zone 1 comprises Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta, while Zone 2 includes Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Idukki. Zone 3 covers Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Palakkad, and Zone 4 consists of Kozhikode and Malappuram. Finally, Zone 5 brings together Kannur, Wayanad, and Kasaragod.
Here’s how to apply:
The first stage of the competition is registration. Hotels, restaurants, and cafés with a minimum of 15 dining seats are eligible to participate.
Applications can be submitted through the dedicated mini website www.manoramaonline.com/goldenclove, created by Manorama Online. Along with the application, participants should include details of the establishment, photographs and the menu.
