Classic Spanish omelet


Spanish omelet is a classic breakfast dish that is loaded with vegetables. You can cut the omelet into small pieces and enjoy them with your regular morning tea. Here is how to make the perfect Spanish omelet.

1 big potato (cut into thin pieces)
1 medium onion (chopped)
½ bell pepper (cut into small pieces)
Coriander leaves (chopped)
3 eggs
4 tbsp vegetable oil
¼ tsp pepper powder
Salt as required


Heat 3 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan
Add the potato slices and sauté for 2 minutes
Now add the chopped onion and salt
After 8 minutes, the potatoes and onion begin to change color
Turn off the flame and transfer them into a bowl
Break the eggs into the cooked potato €“ onion mixture
Into it add the bell pepper, coriander leaves, salt and pepper
Beat well
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan
The oil should grease all the sides of the pan
 Pour in the egg-vegetable mix
Cook for 4 minutes on medium flame
Now flip the omelet (separate the sides of the omelet using a spoon or spatula, hold another plate over the pan and then flip)
Cook for 4 more minutes on low flame
Cut the Spanish omelet into slices and enjoy.
