How about golden-fried pathiri and pepper beef curry for Eid?

You will never get tired of this golden-fried pathiri and spicy pepper beef curry from the Muslim households of Malabar. There is no better snack to begin your Ramadan feast with than this glorious combo.

Ingredients
100 gm parboiled rice
100 gm rice flour
500 gm beef
1 cup scraped coconut
2 tbsp crushed pepper
10 cloves of garlic
9 green chillies
2 tbsp ginger
Coriander leaves
3 shallots
3 onions
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp cumin
1 plantain leaf
2 tbsp salt
Curry leaves
1 lemon
Oil

Preparation
For beef
Grind coriander leaves, green chillies, cloves, ginger, pepper, lemon extract and salt together in a mixer grinder.
Make a fine paste.
Add this to the beef and pressure cook.
Sauté ginger-garlic paste, onions, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala and salt.
Add the cooked beef and curry leaves.
Mix well.
For pathiri
Saute ginger-garlic paste, onions, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala and salt.
Add the cooked beef and curry leaves.
Mix well.
Grind parboiled rice kept soaked.
Grind it again along with scraped coconut, shallots, cumin and salt.
Add in the rice flour.
Pat the mix into thin pathiri on the plantain leaves and deep fry them.
Heat oil in a pan.
