Chakka Mulakushyam

During the monsoons, Ayurveda suggests healthy and simple eating. The chakka mulakushyam, made easily with spices native to the land and shallots, helps with the nutrition, as well as takes care of the flavour part.

Ingredients
1 cup raw jackfruit pieces, cut in round shape
1 cup jackfruit seeds, cut into 4
1½ tsp pepper powder
1 small tsp turmeric powder
10 shallots, chopped in round shape
Salt, as required
Curry leaves, as required
2 big tsp coconut oil

Preparation
Mix the raw jackfruit pieces, jackfruit seeds, pepper powder, turmeric powder and shallots, and boil it well
Grind the mixture roughly with a ladle
Add salt and curry leaves to this mixture and take it off the flame
Pour the coconut oil into this and keep aside for 2 minutes
Chakka Mulakushyam is ready to be served
