Chambakka or rose apple is a tropical fruit found in abundance in Kerala during the summer season. They are incredibly tasty with a pleasant tang and are mostly relished as they are. Here, we've found a unique preparation, where the juice of the rose apple is combined with grape juice with the result of a pure, fresh, easily made cooler.

Ingredients
2 cups chambakka
2 cups purple seedless grapes
1 star anise

Preparation
Using a juicer, extract fresh, pure chambakka juice. Keep aside
Make juice out of grapes of equal quantity
Mix them both together
Drop one star anise each inside each glass
Refrigerate for 2 hours
Take off the star anise from the glass
The juice is ready to be relished

Notes
There's no sugar added in the juice. The mild flavour of the star anise would go perfectly well with the sweet and slightly sour cooler.
