Banana is the one thing that makes most of Indian desserts even more tempting than they are. They are the best if you are looking for gaining some body mass. Today we give you the recipe of sarkkarappazham, an absolutely yummy dessert-cum-snack made with bananas, jaggery and coconut. Throw some cashews over it and these golden banana slices will make a beautiful addition to your festival platter.
Ingredients
2 bananas
1 cup grated coconut
3 balls of jaggery, grated
½ tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp ghee
5 cashew nuts
5 raisins
Preparation
Slice each banana into one inch thick pieces
Squeeze the coconut and collect the first and second extracts of coconut milk
Cook bananas in the second extract and without mashing them
When the bananas are cooked well, add grated coconut and cardamom powder to it
Add the first milk extract to it and stir well
Take it off the stove
Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins roasted in ghee and serve hot
