Kerala njandu curry

It's the weekend, the best time to try your hand at something new in kitchen. You must have tasted spicy and aromatic crab curries from star hotels as well as toddy shops. Today we present you the recipe to make some piping hot red crab curry. Try out this easy recipe and make your Sunday more fun!

Ingredients
1 kg crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
1/2 kg onions, sliced
4 tomatoes
Half of a coconut, grated, fried and ground5 green chilies split
3 cups of coconut oil
2 tbsp ginger paste
3 tbsp garlic paste
3 tbsp coriander powder
3 tbsp chili powder1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp garam masala
3 tbsp meat masala
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp fennel powder
Few sprigs of curry leaves
Coriander leaves as required
Salt as required

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan
Add ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies, onion and tomatoes to it, saute well
Add coriander powder, chili powder and turmeric powder to it
Add crab pieces to it and mix well
Pour enough water and cook the crabs for 30 minutes
Now add fried coconut, pepper powder, fennel powder, garam masala, meat masala, coriander leaves and curry leaves to the curry
Boil till the gravy thickens
take it off from the stove and pour in two teaspoons of coconut oil
Serve hot with rice or appam
