The tapioca-fish combination has been the poster image for Kerala cuisine for long. From tourists to celebrities, those who visit Kerala for the first time would definitely seek from where would they get the much famed combination. Keralites consume it as a main course, snacks or even as a side dish. Combining the goodness of both tapioca and fish, we deliver you the recipe to make crispy tapioca-fish patties.

Ingredients
1 cup salted, baked and mashed fish
½ cup boiled and mashed potato
½ cup boiled and mashed tapioca
1 tbsp chopped ginger
3 green chilies, chopped
1 sprig curry leaves, chopped
Salt as required
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup oil

Preparation
Mix mashed fish, potatoes and tapioca together
Add ginger, green chilies, curry leaves and salt to it
Knead well
Pinch out small balls from this mixture
Flatten the balls on your palm
Dip them in beaten eggs
Roll them in bread crumbs and set aside
Heat oil in a pan and fry the patties in it
When the sides turn light brown, drain them

Serve hot with tomato ketchup
