Delicious chicken pieces in thick red gravy, cooked with butter with a dash of sugar in true Kashmiri style!

Ingredients
1 cup Kashmir red chillies
1 large onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp garlic, crushed
A few curry leaves
1 tbsp butter
500gm chicken, cut to pieces
½ tsp sugar
A few coriander leaves
Salt, as required

Preparation
Grind the Kashmir red chillies by running the grinder just once
Add the onion, tomato, cumin, vinegar and salt, run the grinder once more and keep aside
Melt the butter in the pressure cooker and sauté the garlic and curry leaves
Toss in the ground masala along with chicken and sugar stirring all the while
Now, pour two cups of water and stir well. Cover and cook until two whistles escape
Uncover the cooker and continue to cook till all the water is absorbed
Transfer the contents to a plate and garnish with coriander leaves
Serve hot
