Malpua

Malpua is an all-rounder– it can be served as a dessert, snack or even breakfast. It looks much similar to south Indian snack Neyyappam. They are easily made for special occasions, often paired with rabri or milk cream. Try out this luscious north Indian dish and delight your tummy.

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose maida
½ cup sugar
3 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp fennel powder
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ cup water
¼ cup water

Preparation
Mix maida, sugar, fennel powder, cardamom powder, baking soda and water together to form a thick batter.
Keep the batter untouched for 30 minutes.
Spread ghee on a non-stick pan.
Pour a ladle full of batter into the pan.
Drizzle ghee over the topside of malpuas.
Flip them a couple of times to get both sides turn light brown.
Serve them with rabri malai.
