Ingredients
200gm pearl millet
200gm white rice
100gm black gram/uzhunnu
Salt, as required

Preparation
Soak pearl millet and white rice together in water for eight hours
Soak black gram for two hours
Grind black gram fine by sprinkling a little water while grinding. Keep aside
Now wet grind millet and rice to a coarse batter
Mix both batters and add salt to it
Allow the batter to ferment for five to six hours
Fill the batter in greased idli moulds and steam-cook for 15 minutes
Serve the idlis with chutney and sambar
