The aroma of freshly baked cookies is enticing. Let it waft from your oven often. Give a twist to the classic cookie recipes to dish up warm and soft oatmeal cookies. They are easy to bake and make for the best after-school snacks on a busy day.

Ingredients
(To make 16 cookies)

¾ cup all-purpose flour (maida)
½ cup light brown sugar
Little less than 1/2 cup unsalted butter
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp pure honey
½ tsp baking soda
¾ cup oats
2 tbsp milk

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 175° C
Sieve all the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, salt and baking soda) together and keep aside in a large bowl
Stir in the brown sugar and oats
On a low flame, heat the butter, milk and honey in a sauce pan until the butter melts
Pour it to the flour mix slowly and stir well
Lightly grease a baking tray, and use an ice-cream scooper to form uniform dollops few inches apart on the tray
Flatten the dollops slightly with your palm and bake for 10-12 mins until their edges turn golden
Cool for a few minutes before storing them in airtight containers
