×

These tulip-shaped bread cups hold a cheesy sausage filling and will make a yummy after-school snack. You can go for a variety of fillings such as spinach, mushrooms, vegetables and literally anything that your kids would love.

Ingredients
12 bread slices
½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup bottled marinara sauce
4 sausages diced (Frankfurters)
3 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Preparation
Preheat oven to 175 degree Celsius
Cut ends of bread and flatten it out using a rolling pin
Take a muffin tray and gently press the bread slices in the middle, so it takes the shape of a tulip
Brush the tulips with butter generously and spoon in the Parmesan cheese (1 tsp each), followed by diced sausage, marinara sauce (mixed with Italian seasoning, if adding) and finally top it with mozzarella cheese
Bake for 20 mins until sides start turning golden
