Jadoh: For the true taste of meat

Jadoh: For the true taste of meat

Jadoh is a laboriously-made dish made with rice and meat. Being a Khasi cuisine, it takes hours to get the recipe done. Here's how to make Jadoh.

Ingredients
2 cups biryani rice (short grain, washed and drained)
300 gm pork (with fat) chopped into small pieces
1 big onion chopped finely
1 tablespoon ginger crushed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon dried pepper
Salt
2 cinnamon leaves
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Coriander leaves

Preparation
Heat the oil in a wide-mouthed pan
Add in chopped onion, crushed ginger, turmeric powder, and pepper
Fry them well
Set aflame the stems of the cinnamon leaves and put them into the pan all at once
Mix in the pork and fry till it turns deep brown
Now, add the rice along with salt
Add four cups of water and keep it on the oven till it boils
When it's cooked, sprinkle the coriander over it and serve hot.
