Sweet and crispy malpua

Malpua is a sweet dish which tastes like pancake. It is a popular delicacy in countries like India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Odisha is particularly famous for its soft malpua which melts in your mouth. The dish is prepared in many ways in different regions.

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour (maida)
1 cup fried rava
1 cup sugar
2 cups warm water
Salt as required
1/4 tsp baking powder
Oil to fry

Preparation
In a bowl, add all the ingredients
Pour some warm water
Mix well without forming any lumps
Keep it aside for half an hour
Stir well
Heat oil in a pan
Pour 1 spoon of this batter into hot oil
Using a spoon, pour hot oil over the batter so that it would rise up nicely
On a medium flame, fry until golden brown

Notes
Do not turn over the malpua when the batter rises in the oil. It should be turned over when one side begins to change colour. Stir the batter each time before scooping it out.
