Fried fish and crispy potato chips have been a classic combination for centuries. It in fact is the most popular take away meal in England. Here is a simple recipe of fish and chips with a spicy twist.

Ingredients
1/2 kg fleshy fish (thinly filled and deboned)
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt as required
Oil as required
1/2 cup all purpose flour (maida)
1 cup fried potato chips
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp ginger - garlic paste

Preparation
Marinate the fish fillets with lemon juice and salt as required
Prepare the batter by mixing the all purpose flour, turmeric powder, yeast, black pepper powder, ginger - garlic paste, salt and water as required
Keep the batter aside for it to rise
Heat oil in a pan
Dip the fish fillets in the batter and fry until crisp and golden brown
Garnish with potato chips on top.
