This special stew made with potatoes and Bengal gram is wholesome and tastes amazing with breakfast dishes like appam, idiyappam, puttu or chapathi. Check out the recipe.
1 small piece of ginger (finely chopped)
2 green chillies (split)
4 potatoes (diced)
1 cup boiled Bengal gram
Salt as required
Water as required
1 cup of coconut milk
Cook all the ingredients together in a vessel on medium flame
Pour the coconut milk when the potatoes are nicely cooked
Mix well and turn off the flame
Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds
Roast 1 dried chilli, 6 shallots and some curry leaves
Add this tempering into the stew
Tasty potatoes-Bengal gram stew is ready.
