Japanese omurice

Japanese omurice

Japanese omurice is a fusion dish that is delicious and filling too. A portmanteau word, like brunch, omurice has the goodness of omelet and rice. Even though it is a Japanese dish, omurice is a staple in many Asian countries like Korea and Taiwan. The rice that is cooked with chicken bits and veggies is wrapped in a soft blanket of fluffy omelet. You could enjoy this dish wish a few dollops of tomato ketchup on the side. Some people add noodles instead of rice. Interestingly, the omelet or the rice could be made rich and heavy by adding different ingredients as per your taste. Sausages, minced meat, shredded chicken or beef too could be added in the rice. Besides, the rice could be loaded with veggies like mushrooms, soy beans and cauliflower. Omurice is one of the best loved dishes by the children in Japan. It is often cooked at homes and is served in authentic Japanese restaurants. Check out the pretty simple recipe of Japanese omurice.
