Broken wheat payasam that has the goodness of milk and jaggery is the perfect dessert to serve on a special day. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients
½ cup broken wheat
5 tbsp sugar
1 litre milk
1 cardamom pod
1 tbsp ghee

Preparation
Heat 3 tbsp sugar in a pressure cooker
Stir and caramelize it
Into it add the milk
Mix well until the caramel melts in the milk
Add 2 tbsp sugar and crushed cardamom too
Mix well
Now add the broken wheat
Close the lid of the pressure cooker
Cook for 30 minutes on low flame
Open the lid after the pressure is completely released
Pour some ghee on top
In case the payasam is too thick, add some boiled milk to loosen it.
