Tangy and sweet mango ice to beat the heat

Try this refreshing and cool raw mango ice to relax during the sweltering summer heat.

3 raw mangoes (250 gms)
1 cup powdered sugar (The quantity may vary according to the tanginess of the raw mangoes
A pinch of cardamom powder
A pinch of salt
Water as required (for the mango pulp)
1 drop green food colour
Mint leaves for colour

Wash the mangoes
Cook the mangoes in an idli steamer
The colour of the mangoes will change and the skin would peel off
After it has cooled down, extract the pulp
Take the mango pulp, sugar, cardamom powder, salt, water and a drop of food colour
Add some mint leaves too
Blend well
Pour this into ice cream moulds
Or you could set them in paper or steel glasses; cover the mouth of the glass with aluminium foil and insert an ice cream stick
Freeze the mango ice overnight.
