Having someone over? Worried about what to feed your unexpected guest for breakfast? Or are you a broke university student craving something cheap yet filling? Too hungover to cook some 'actual food'? This humble dish would solve all your dilemmas (unless you have lactose or gluten intolerance).

All you need is some bread slices, eggs, milk, butter and sugar. If you have some powdered cinnamon and berries in your pantry, well, things are going to be a lot more classy.

Check out the easy recipe for a classic French toast here:

Ingredients
20 bread slices
2 eggs
½ litre milk
3 tbsp sugar
½ tsp cinnamon powder
Butter, as required

Preparation
Beat the eggs while slowly adding boiled milk
Into it, add sugar and cinnamon powder
Beat well
Grease a hot pan with some butter
Dip the bread slices in the egg-milk mixture
Place them on the hot pan
Cook both sides until they turn golden brown in colour
Top it with with freshly cut fruits before serving.
