Sweeten your ramadan feast with an easy vermicelli dessert

Who doesn't like desserts made of vermicelli noodles aka semiya, that transforms any simple dish into fancy delicacies?

From the good old 'semiya payasam' and puddings to the royal Arabian dessert kunafa, vermicelli is the base for many much-loved, irresistable confections.

For your ramadan feast this year, try making this quick and easy vermicelli dessert that's also rich with the goodness of almonds, pistachios, cashews and more. Here is the simple recipe.

Ingredients
¾ cup vermicelli
1 litre milk
½ cup sugar
2 tbsp milk powder
¼ cup soaked almonds
1 tsp rose water
½ tsp cardamom powder
3 tbsp pistachios, cashews and almonds
1 tbsp ghee

Preparation
Grind the soaked almonds with some milk
Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli
Add half of the milk into it
Allow the vermicelli to get cooked in the milk
Ad sugar and milk powder
Now add the rest of the milk
When the milk boils, add the almond paste
Add the nuts and cardamom powder
Give everything a good mix
You could serve this dessert hot or cold.
