Spicy and flavoursome beef curry is the perfect combination with porotta, appam, chapathi, puttu or even rice. However, cooking beef dishes generally takes time.

Check out this simple recipe of beef curry cooked in pressure cooker to enjoy on a busy day.

Ingredients
1 kg beef
15 shallots
2 medium sized onions
2 tbsp crushed ginger
2 tbsp crushed garlic
4 green chilies
1 tomato
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 ½ tbsp chili powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt as required
Coconut oil as required
Curry leaves as required
Water as required

Preparation
Heat 1 tsp coconut oil in a pan
Roast coriander powder and chili powder until the raw smell is gone
Take the washed beef pieces, shallots, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilies, tomato, turmeric powder, roasted coriander and chili powder, garam masala, pepper powder, salt, curry leaves and some coconut oil
Mix well
Add some water in case you prefer more gravy
Cook until four whistles before lowering the flame
Cook for twenty more minutes
Open the lid only after the pressure is completely released
Sprinkle some garam masala and pepper powder
Now, turn on the flame
Allow the gravy to boil; do not forget to take off the lid
Simple and tasty beef curry is ready.
