Craving coconut-filled chocolate bars? Try this homemade dessert

Yummy chocolate-coated coconut bars have conquered the hearts of millions of chocolate lovers around the world. These chocolates are a rich source of fibre, magnesium and antioxidants. However, they also contain high sugar and calories. So, it is advised to enjoy these in moderation. Here is how to make them at home.

Ingredients
Desiccated coconut
¾ cup condensed milk
200 gms milk chocolate
200 gms white chocolate

Preparation
To make desiccated coconut, scrape out the flesh and remove the brown skin
Cut them into small pieces and crumble them in a mixer jar on pulses
Toast the desiccated coconut in a hot pan on medium flame
You would get 1 ¾ cup of desiccated coconut from one coconut
Add condensed milk to desiccated coconut
Mix well using your fingers
Scoop a ball from this mixture and shape it into a chocolate bar
Keep these bars in the freezer
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in the double boiling method
Take out the frozen bars and dip them in the melted chocolate
Keep them on a sheet of butter paper to get dried
You could make chocolate bars using milk chocolate and white chocolate
Delicious and melt-in-the-mouth coconut – the chocolate bar is ready.
