Apple pudding: An easy, breezy homemade dessert

If you are in the mood to eat desserts guilt-free, pick an apple from your fridge and make this easy apple pudding. In this holiday season, you can even serve it with sadya instead of calorie-dense accompaniments.

This pudding is only 150 calories and is made with palm sugar candy, low-fat milk, dates and more and thus, is extremely yummy as well. 

But, if you feel like forgetting your health goals for a day and having some fun, add a scoop of your favourite ice cream as the pudding's topping. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients
3/4 cup of sliced apple pieces
1-2 tsp of palm sugar candy
1/4 cup water
2 cups low-fat milk
2 tsp cornflour
1/4 cup pitted, chopped dates

Preparation
Take a cooking vessel with a thick base
Put ¾ cup of sliced apple pieces and one or two teaspoons of palm sugar candy into it
Add ¾ cup water and cook till the apple becomes tender
Keep it aside to cool off
Boil two cups of low-fat milk
Add two teaspoons of cornflour prepared in low-fat dairy into it
Stir the mix
Add ¼ cup of pitted and chopped dates
Heat it for 10 minutes
Add the apple mix
Stir it before putting off the flames
The tasty apple pudding is ready to be served
