No Christmas celebrations are complete without a sip of wine and a bite of plum cake. The rich and fruity flavours of a plum cake are a delight, but its preparation is often considered a time-taking process. If you follow these simple steps, you can make a no-bake plum cake at home. Here's how to go about it.

Ingredients
1/4 cup raisins
¼ cup black grapes
¼ cup dried kiwi (sliced into pieces)
¼ cup dried pineapple (cut into small pieces)
¼ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup chopped dried apricots
¼ cup chopped dried red cherry
¼ cup tutti fruity
1 cup orange juice
1 tsp orange marmalade
1 tsp orange zest
¼ cup cashew nuts
1 ¼ cup sugar
1 ½ cup maida (refined wheat flour)
1 tsp powdered cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and cardamom
150 grams butter (without salt)
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence
¼ tsp salt

Preparation
Take a heavy bottom vessel and caramelize 1 ½ cups of sugar
Add salt-less butter to it
When it boils, add dry fruits and cook for five minutes
Add sliced orange peels, orange marmalade, and baking soda until the moisture content is completely absorbed, and switch off the flames
Set aside the mix for cooling
Once it cools down, add three eggs after properly beating them
Add the nuts as well
Sift in the refined wheat flour, baking powder, powdered nutmeg, powdered clove, powdered cinnamon, and salt
Add these into the already prepared fruit mix and stir until well combined
Grease a round cake pan with butter or oil and line the bottom with parchment paper
Pour the above mix into the pan and steam the cake on medium heat for one hour
Now savour that decadent slice of home-cooked plum cake and share it with your loved ones
