Make juicy paneer tikka in under ten minutes

An excellent source of protein, paneer is loved not just by vegetarians but by non-vegetarians too. Even though paneer dishes are cooked in our kitchens, not many prepare the iconic paneer tikka at home. The delicious dish with a hint of smoky flavor often tops the menu in many leading restaurants. However, preparing the perfect paneer tikka by charring the paneer cubes on skewers is not an easy task. 200 gms paneer
2 tsp chilly powder
½ tsp pepper powder
½ tsp garam masala
A pinch of turmeric powder
1 tbsp ginger–garlic paste
2 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp butter
Salt as required

Pick a whole block of paneer rather than smaller cubes
Cut the paneer blocks into desired sizes
Poke holes using a fork on the pieces
Prepare the marinade by mixing chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and salt
Add yoghurt and mix into a marinade paste
Toss the paneer pieces in this marinade
Keep them aside for at least 20 minutes
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a nonstick pan
Add the marinated paneer
Cook until both sides are charred and cooked well
The delicious paneer tikka is ready
Enjoy it with mint or coriander chutney
