On Thursday, the Indian government launched a mandatory digital passenger health self-declaration portal to screen international passengers reaching India for infectious diseases. The upgraded portal, named Air Suvidha 2.0, was also used during the COVID-19 pandemic phase. It was relaunched following the Ebola virus spreading outside Africa to France. The portal tracks many details, such as a passenger's 21-day travel history, potential exposure to infectious diseases and so on.

Passengers can access the form here. It is free of cost.

What to do after landing
After landing in India, show the receipt PDF at the travel health desk or immigration bureau for contactless clearance. If Air Suvidha flags a form or detects elevated temperature or other issues during thermal screening at the airport, containment protocols will be activated. Air Suvidha also automatically sends a digital alert to airport health officers, the Bureau of Immigration, the ISDP (Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme), and state surveillance officers.
