Beypore: Two men were arrested for snatching a woman’s mobile phone by trespassing into the veranda of her house. Malappuram Chelambra native Muhammad Muzzamil (25) and Mannur Vadakkumbad Irshad (22) were nabbed in a joint operation led by the Beypore police and the crime squad of the Feroke ACP. The accused have been remanded by the court. 

The duo had snatched the mobile phone worth ₹29,000 owned by Safa from her house at Arakkinar on July 11. Muhammad Muzzamil and Irshad snatched away the mobile phone from the woman’s hand as she was standing on the veranda of her house. 

Soon, a case was registered with the Beypore police. Meanwhile, significant evidence regarding the identity of the accused was accessed from the CCTV visuals. The police then began an extensive search for the culprits based on this CCTV visuals and the duo was arrested from BC Road by inspector R Suresh. SI VV Sajith Kumar, CPO M Sajeesh, P Vijay, C Prasoon, Ferok crime squad SI PC Sujith, ASI Arun Kumar, CPO IT Vinod, Anuj Valayanad, Saneesh Pantheerankavu, Subeesh Vengeri and Akhil Babu were part of the investigating team.
