Grow these plants, earn some money during lockdown

Many people have turned to gardening as a productive way to beat the boredom during the lockdown days. Meanwhile, designer Shinto Varghese of the Concepts Design Studio in Ernakulam says that more than a mere hobby, gardening could actually earn you a decent income.

Thousands of families had been dreaming to complete the construction of their houses and move into them before the monsoon begins. However, the lockdown has posed a bit of a hindrance. As they run out of money, many families wouldn’t care about arranging a beautiful garden or landscape in their new homes.

“You could try your hands in gardening during the lockdown days. Money plant and lucky bamboo are easily available. The saplings could be grown in small grow bags by filling them with cocopeat. The plants are quite costly when you buy them from outside. So, you could easily save that money by growing these plants yourself,” says Shinto.

You could sell these plants through the various social media platforms if you possess some marketing skills. However, you’d have to wait till the lockdown is lifted for supplying the plants. Shinto says a decent amount could be earned by selling these decorative plants. Moreover, gardening is an amazing way to relax your mind and body.
