Not just your regular soaps and shampoos, most people like to crowd the bathroom counter with grooming products like combs and skincare. However, one has to be careful while arranging products in the bathroom just as you do on your dressing table.

It is a common habit to keep wet towels in the bathroom after taking a shower. This would keep the bathroom moist. Moreover, the towels would take longer to dry in case the bathrooms are small and are closed always. These wet towels could be breeding grounds for bacteria. Similarly, keeping your clothes in the bathroom hours before you take a bath too isn’t the ideal way. Clothes easily attract fungus and bacteria and could make the clothes stink.

Creams and lotions, makeup products and shaving sets shouldn’t be kept on the bathroom counters. These are prone to bacterial attacks and could cause skin problems. Keeping ornaments in the bathroom too isn’t a great idea as the jewelry would lose its lustre. Silver ornaments can easily absorb moisture and your valuable jewelry pieces would lose their charm.

Due to the presence of moisture, the temperature in the bathroom is likely to differ from the rest of the house. If perfumes are stored in bathrooms, this change in temperature could affect the chemical bonds in perfumes. If stored like this, the perfumes could soon lose their fragrance.
