Though strict lockdown measures have been imposed to ensure the general wellbeing of the people it, however, posses another health problem to many. People tend to gain weight as they sit idle, without any rigorous physical activities, within the four walls of their house.

People could put on weight especially since the gyms are closed and no one can go out for their regular jogging sessions. Some may have a few gym or workout equipment at home. But others may get lazy and lethargic as there are no ways to engage in any physical activity at all. Besides, the delicious home-cooked food could make you put on a few kilos.

Here are some tips that could prevent weight gain:

Healthy diet

You may feel the urge to snack when you are sitting at home. Unhealthy snacking may lead to weight gain. Do not stock up on processed snacks that are high on sodium. Instead of deep fried food, try eating healthy and wholesome meals that are lighter and nutritious as well. Fresh fruits and vegetables and delicious salads should be included in the lockdown diet.

Meal timing

It is important to stick to proper meal timings if you want to stay healthy and fit. You could over eat when you have a late meal. This causes fat deposits in the body. A healthy and filling breakfast, moderate lunch and a simple dinner would be excellent.

Exercise

There are hundreds of exercises that you could easily do at home. Cardio exercises and yoga could be done at home. Physical activities like jogging, cycling or walking could keep you fit and healthy.
