With a 51% success rate in 2024, Abu Dhabi is winning global attention in the In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment methods employed in the Emirate. This is reportedly a marked increase from the 42% recorded last year, which was tagged 'one of the highest in the world.' A total of 695 successful births were recorded in Abu Dhabi in 2024. Its health department said that the number is proof of Abu Dhabi's potential to offer top-notch health services in varied spheres. There are a total of 14 IVF centres in Abu Dhabi, including the two newly opened centres. There are also 45 delivery centres, 700 specialists, consultants, 375 midwives and a total of 2800 health workers. The emirate also has expertise in critical care, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), reproductive medicine and infertility, radiology, embryology, sonography, and other assisted technologies.

AI-powered embryo selection
At the recently held fertility conference titled 'The FertiClinic Fertility and IVF Conference,' which brought together the top medical experts and researchers of Abu Dhabi, there were many discussions on employing the latest innovations, including AI in IVF, women's health and fertility preservations. The conference also saw the introduction of 'AIgorithm,' an AI system developed by the world-renowned UK-based IVF clinic, ARGC UK. Employing this tech, it would apparently be possible to put together optimal hormone medication doses, treatment accuracy, and embryo selection system, thus boosting success rates.
