May is celebrated in the United States as Mental Health Awareness Month. Interestingly, 'Thunderbolts', the new Marvel movie starring Florence Pugh, is set to hit screens on May 1. Even before its release, the film has sparked a discussion about its emotionally bold portrayal of diverse aspects of mental health, through the various psychological struggles of its characters.

As per reports, the issues presented include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD, identity crisis, depression, unresolved moral conflict, survivor's guilt, emotional disconnect and loneliness.

The film premiered in London last week and according to a few of the online reviewers who already watched the movie, it also explores more profound questions like 'What does grief, trauma, look like,' 'What abandonment does to you,' and 'What it feels like to lose your purpose of existence. One of the reviewers named 'Emergency Awesome' also termed the movie 'mental health Avengers.'

Why the ice-bucket challenge is back
Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge, which went viral in 2014 to support people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)? Now, the challenge is back with the hashtag 'SpeakYourMIND,' focusing on mental health awareness. As per reports, a few college students revived the 'movement' this year to discuss mental health issues, support those who need help and highlight a campaign on the same. 
'Thunderbolts' has more than 10K search volume in the past 13 hours on Google Trends.
