The bike ambulance is fitted with a sidecar to transport a patient to a hospital safely. It is operated by an emergency medical technician who has undergone specialised training in treating patients in challenging terrain.

The ambulance service is based at the Pampa Government Hospital. For pilgrims who require advanced care, an ICU ambulance is also stationed at Pampa to facilitate shifting to other hospitals.
