Kuvi and her owner and dog trainer Ajith Madhavan were at the Paw Summit 2025, Kerala’s first and India’s most unique pet summit, presented by Malayala Manorama on JAIN University Campus, Kakkanad, Ernakulam. The event was held on April 26-27.

Manorama Online Karshaksree readers need no introduction to Kuvi. After the devastating landslide struck Pettimudi on August 6, 2020, Kuvi was in the news for spotting the body of a 2-year-old kid named Dhanushka, a member of the dog's owner family. Except for the grandmother, the whole family had lost their lives in the landslide. Manorama Online Karshaksree has featured numerous updates about Kuvi, making her a familiar figure to our readers.

Now, Kuvi made her film debut, playing the lead role in the movie 'Najas - An Impure Story'. Kuvi and Ajith were at the Paw Summit on Saturday to release the film's second look poster. The Paw Summit also witnessed a rare moment – for the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, two dogs jointly launched a film's poster. Kuvi and another dog, Tute, who also acts in the film, released the second look poster of 'Najas...'

The film's director, Sreejith Poyilkavu, revealed that the heroine was chosen even before the script was finalized. Once the script was ready, he contacted Ajith and asked him to train Kuvi according to the character's needs. Consequently, after six months of training, Kuvi faced the camera. Ajith added that the thorough training eliminated the need for retakes.
