Thiruvalla: 'Metropolitan Yohan I - A Pilgrimage of Hope and Compassion', a coffee table book published by Manorama Books capturing key moments in the life and humanitarian mission of the late Mar Athanasius Yohan Metropolitan-the primate of the Believers Eastern Church, was officially released at a function in Thiruvalla.

John Kakkad, Coordinating Editor of Malayala Manorama’s Pathanamthitta Unit, presented the first copy of the book to Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, who formally released it by presenting it to Dr Joseph Mar Barnabas, Suffragan Metropolitan.

The event was graced by several leading religious figures including Mar Samuel Theophilus, Metropolitan of the Believers Eastern Church, Cyril Mar Baselios, the current primate and Metropolitan of the Malabar Independent Syrian Church, Swami Gururatnam Jana Tapaswi, Alexios Mar Eusebios, President of the Kerala Council of Churches, Mathews Mor Anthimos, Metropolitan of the Muvattupuzha-Angamaly region of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church, Bishop VS Francis, head of the CSI East Kerala Diocese, and Daniel Mar Theophilos, Bishop of the American Diocese of the Believers Eastern Church.

Also present were Mathew T. Thomas MLA, Church Secretary Fr Dr Daniel Johnson, and Church Spokesperson Fr Sijo Panthappillil, among others.
The book features rare photographs of Metropolitan Athanasius Yohan I and includes recollections and tributes from a range of eminent personalities.
