Every Onam, legend says King Mahabali returns to Kerala before heading back to the underworld. But this year, a Thiruvananthapuram-based startup has ensured he doesn’t leave.

Zenturiotech has introduced Maveli.ai, an AI chatbot that lets you talk to Mahabali anytime, anywhere. Users can chat in Malayalam, English, or 'Manglish' — and Maveli always replies in Malayalam. Along with conversations, the chatbot also shares Onam facts and mental health tips.

Founded in 2024 by Ajisha Bhasi, Zenturiotech works at the forefront of AI-driven solutions. The company builds scalable web platforms, intuitive mobile apps, and advanced AI integrations, handling everything from concept to market delivery. From its early days, Zenturiotech has received strong support from Kerala Startup Mission, helping it grow into a 12-member team with clients in India and abroad.

Ajisha completed her B Tech and M Tech at the University of Kerala. Before founding Zenturiotech, she worked for six years at another startup, leading a product for children with special needs. “I always dreamed of starting my own company before turning 30,” she adds.

“Maveli.ai was a fun project. We wanted to create something interactive for Malayalis during Onam. Maveli is Kerala’s most beloved king, and we thought people should be able to interact with him,” says

What began as a small experiment received an overwhelming response. “We’re not sending him back to Pathalam. People can share their problems, and Maveli responds in a funny, lighthearted way. It also creates nostalgia, especially for the Non-Resident Keralites who miss Onam,” Ajisha says.

The company is now developing Scerinsoul, an AI-powered mental health companion they aim to launch within five years. “Scerinsoul will be like a buddy. Many people struggle with mental health, but hesitate to see a therapist. Some don’t even realise what they’re going through. Our platform will focus on self-awareness and timely support, offering a different experience compared to existing solutions,” says Ajisha.

For her, the mission goes beyond technology. “AI is not here to replace humans. It is here to support and uplift. When it adds real value, that’s when it becomes truly meaningful,” she says.
