Tamil actor Cheenu Mohan passes away

Tamil theatre personality and film actor Cheenu Mohan (62) passed away on Thursday following a heart attack. He was noted for the roles in the Mammootty-Rajinikanth blockbuster ‘Dalapathy’, Karthick Subbaraj’s ‘Iraivi’ and ‘Kolvamavu Kokila’.

Starting his career in drama, Mohan debuted in films with ‘Pathinaru’ in 1989. He soon acted in noted films like ‘Anjali’ and ‘Dalapathy’. However, he was ignored by film-makers for several years after that.

Mohan made a major comeback with ‘Iraivi’ in 2016. Busy since then, he had roles in movies like ‘Andavan Kattalai’, ‘Sketch’, ‘Kolvamavu Kokila’ ‘Chekka Chivanda Vaanam’ and ‘Vada Chennai’.
