Hyderabad man kills wife, cooks body parts, dumps remains in lake

Hyderabad: Police arrested an ex-serviceman after he brutally murdered his wife, dismembered her body, and boiled the remains in a pressure cooker. The shocking incident was reported from Meerpet, Rangareddy, here on Wednesday.
According to the police, Guru Murthy filed a missing person complaint for his wife, Venkata Madhavi (35), at the Meerpet Police Station under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on January 18.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that the couple was frequently arguing in recent days. When questioned, Guru Murthy admitted to committing the crime and confessed disturbing details, reported IANS.
The accused revealed that he had killed his wife, dismembered her body, and boiled the remains in a pressure cooker. He later disposed of the boiled body parts in a lake located in Jillelaguda.
The police recorded his confession and began collecting evidence while searching the lake for the victim’s remains. Guru Murthy, who had served in the Army, was working as a security guard on an outsourcing basis at DRDO in Kanchan Bagh.
Murthy and Madhavi had been married for 13 years and had two children. Following the murder, the accused visited the Meerpet Police Station along with his wife’s parents in an attempt to avoid suspicion. Officials stated that the investigation is ongoing.
