Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was allegedly attacked during a weekly Jan Sunwai programme at her Civil Lines residence on Thursday morning, the BJP claimed.

According to PTI, the attacker, a 35-year-old man, handed some papers to the Chief Minister before allegedly assaulting her during the public hearing. The police detained him and senior officers reached the spot to begin an inquiry.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemned the attack on the Chief Minister in a message.
