Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded India’s defence preparedness, declaring that the country no longer fears nuclear threats and will not hesitate to strike back at enemies. He was addressing a public gathering after laying the foundation stone for the Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar district.
“This is the New India, which does not fear any nuclear threats. It enters the enemy's house and strikes. Our brave soldiers forced Pakistan to its knees in no time,” the Prime Minister said, referring to a viral video of a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander admitting how Indian forces stormed their hideout.
Modi also claimed that under Operation Sindoor, India destroyed multiple terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, leaving the family of JeM chief Masood Azhar devastated.
Accusing Pakistani terrorists of dishonouring Indian women, Modi said Operation Sindoor was a fitting response that demolished terror launch pads.
Turning to economic self-reliance, he urged people to embrace swadeshi during the festive season. “Every product you buy should be made in India. Shops should proudly display boards saying, ‘Garv se kaho yeh swadeshi hai’,” he said.
The Prime Minister also launched the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar initiative and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah campaign, highlighting his government’s focus on women’s health and nutrition. He appealed to women to attend free health camps without hesitation, stressing that “state funds are not more important than your health.”
Recalling history, Modi noted that September 17, 1948, marked Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s decisive action to liberate Hyderabad, a day now observed as Hyderabad Liberation Day.
Highlighting his government’s welfare record, he said 25 crore people had been lifted out of poverty in the last 11 years, reported PTI. The visit, coinciding with his 75th birthday, also saw him receiving greetings from thousands gathered in Dhar.
