Kochi: A  Qatar Airways aircraft skidded while landing on the runway at the Nedumbassery airport early on Friday. The incident happened instantly after the flight proceeded on the tarmac just after touching down by 2.30 am. A lead-in light on the runway was damaged as the plane veered to one side while landing in the rain. 

No one was injured in the incident. 

The flight back to Qatar has been delayed. Passengers, who are booked on this flight, are at the airport. They will be send on a special flight or in another Qatar Airways flight scheduled to depart at noon.
